Return & Refund Policy

At Dervinova, every creation is handmade with care and precision — each piece a reflection of authentic Middle Eastern craftsmanship. Because of the artisanal nature of our products, small variations are part of their charm and individuality.

That said, we want you to feel fully confident when ordering from us. Please review our return and refund policy carefully.

1. Return Eligibility

Customers have 14 days from the date of delivery to submit a return request.
Returns are accepted only for products that are unused, undamaged, and in their original packaging, including all accessories, certificates, and documentation.

We cannot accept returns for:

  • Custom-made or personalized furniture orders
  • Gift purchases
  • Wholesale or bulk orders (unless damaged upon delivery)
  • Promotional or bundled items
  • Opened or used laurel soap bars (see section below)

Important: Do not return any items without prior authorization from Dervinova. Unauthorized returns may not be accepted.

2. Condition of Returns

To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be in its original condition and packaging.
  • All accessories and documents must be included.
  • Any missing or damaged components may result in refusal of the return.

In certain situations, partial refunds may be granted if an item shows minor signs of use, wear, or damage not caused by Dervinova.

Furniture pieces are shipped fully assembled. We recommend inspecting them immediately upon delivery.

3. Laurel Soap Returns

Due to hygiene and safety standards, laurel soaps are non-returnable worldwide.

Exceptions apply only within the United Arab Emirates, where unopened soaps may be returned within 14 days of delivery, provided:

  • The soap remains sealed, unused, and in its original packaging, and
  • A valid proof of purchase is provided.

Used, opened, or unsealed soaps cannot be accepted under any circumstance.

4. Authenticity & Craftsmanship

Each Dervinova product is handcrafted.
As such, minor variations in color, tone, pattern, or texture are natural and not considered defects.
Tool marks, asymmetry, or slight differences from product photos reflect the authenticity of human craftsmanship and the natural materials used.

5. Return Process

All return requests must be made by email to contact@dervinova.com within 14 days of delivery.

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photographs showing the item’s condition

We will review your request and, if approved, provide return instructions.

Approved returns must be shipped within 7 days of authorization.

Dervinova reserves the right to refuse returns if inspection reveals that an item was damaged or misused after delivery, or if the provided images were misleading.

6. Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, your refund will be processed within 7–14 business days.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method for the full product amount.

Please note:

  • Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility (outside the UAE).
  • Import duties and taxes are non-refundable.
  • Refused or “return-to-sender” deliveries may have shipping costs deducted from the refund.
  • We may offer store credit instead of a refund if customer requested.
  • Refunds reflect the price of the item paid at checkout.

If you have not received your refund after the expected period, please check with your bank or credit card provider, as posting times may vary by institution.

7. International Returns

International returns are accepted if:

  • The customer handles their own shipping, or
  • A prepaid label is requested (the cost of which will be deducted from the refund).

Return shipping and any customs duties or import taxes are the customer’s responsibility.
Dervinova is not liable for customs delays or additional fees applied to returned items.

All items must be returned to the fulfillment center of origin (UAE or US), as specified during your order process.

8. Damaged or Incorrect Items

If an item arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us immediately at contact@dervinova.com with photos and your order number.

If we determine that the issue resulted from our handling or packaging, Dervinova will cover all return shipping costs and offer a replacement or full refund.

9. Warranty & Repairs

Dervinova products do not include a formal warranty.

We do not currently offer repair services.
If a product arrives damaged due to Dervinova’s handling or packaging, we cover return shipping.
Damage caused by misuse, humidity, or improper cleaning is not eligible for return or refund.

10. Final Notes

Our return policy is designed to honor both our customers and the artisans who bring each piece to life.
